Ingredients:
1 Package Pie Crust, refrigerated (2 pack)
1 Each Egg, beaten
8 Each Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/4" slices
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 Cup Butter
Pinch Sea Salt
3 Tablespoons Flour
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
Whipped Cream
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Line the bottom and sides of a 9" pie pan with one of the pie crusts. Brush with the beaten egg.
- In a sauce pan, melt butter. Add flour and mix. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and salt. Heat through.
- Heap apples into pie crust. Slice the remaining pie crust into strips. Form a lattice work crust on top.
- Carefully drizzle butter mixture over top, slowly.
- Bake 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to ∞ F and bake another 35 minutes. Allow to cool slightly. Serve topped with fresh whipped cream.
