Maple- Poached Pears



Ingredients:
1 cup (250 mL) apple juice
1 cup (250 mL) maple syrup
4 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
6 firm ripe pears, with stems
1 cup (250 mL) Balkan-style plain yogurt

Methods

Peel and cut the pears into half. Mix the syrup, boiling water and boiled (for twenty minutes) pears. Remove the pears from the water and drain them. Spoon yogurt to the awaiting glass plates. Put the pear, cut its side and sprinkle with a sprig mint and nutmeg. Serve.
