Ingredients:
2 canned pear halves or 5 quarters with syrup
2 lg. scoops vanilla ice cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. hot fudge sauce
Toasted almonds, if desired
Directions
- This pear dessert recipe is one of the most-loved pear desserts by adults and kids alike. All you need to do is cut pears in half lengthwise. Next, put water and sugar into a sauce pan and put it to boil. Simmer it for five minutes. Add vanilla and pears and cook for another 15 minutes to allow the pears to tender. Of course, syrup will be formed. With that, let the pear cool in syrup.
- Before serving, make sure to add a scoop of ice cream into the chilled plate. Design the 2 half pears on the sides of the ice cream. Add some chocolate sauce and some other topping like almonds and pecans.
